Welcome to SendSecure. By accessing or using this service, you agree to the following Terms of Use. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use SendSecure.

1. Purpose of the Service

SendSecure provides a simple, privacy-focused platform for sharing encrypted messages and files that automatically delete after viewing or expiry. The service is intended for lawful and ethical communication only.

2. User Responsibility

• You are solely responsible for the content you encrypt and share using SendSecure.
• You agree not to use the service to transmit or store content that is illegal, abusive, malicious, or infringes upon the rights of others.
• You are responsible for safeguarding your password and ensuring that recipients understand how to securely access the encrypted message or file.

3. Security and Encryption

SendSecure employs strong, client-side encryption using AES-GCM 256-bit and PBKDF2-SHA-256 with 500,000 iterations. All encryption and decryption occur in your browser using the WebCrypto API. While we take security seriously, no system can guarantee perfect protection; use of SendSecure is at your own discretion and risk.

4. Temporary Data Storage

• Encrypted messages and files are stored temporarily on our servers and are permanently deleted after they are viewed once or when their expiry period ends (1–7 days as selected during creation).
• We do not retain logs, plaintext data, or user identifiers.

5. Availability and Service Changes

We strive to maintain reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. SendSecure may be updated, modified, or discontinued at any time without prior notice. We are not liable for any loss of data or interruption of service.

6. Limitation of Liability

SendSecure and its developer(s) shall not be held responsible for any damages, losses, or liabilities arising from your use or inability to use the service, including but not limited to data loss, unauthorized access, or transmission errors.

7. No Warranties

SendSecure is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. You assume full responsibility for how you use the service and share data.

8. Modifications to These Terms

These Terms of Use may be updated periodically. Changes take effect upon posting to this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of SendSecure after changes means you accept the revised terms.
